The Examination of Ashley Smith: A Staged Reading

In this staged reading, Ashley Smith has just died and woken up in a courtroom. She meets a demon lawyer and angel lawyer who argue whether she belongs in Heaven or Hell to the all knowing judge. As her time on Earth is debated before her very eyes, Ashley learns the true meaning of life.

About the Artist(s):
Paisley Kinch is a senior theatre arts major with a concentration in playwriting. She defines herself as a playwright dramaturg who also dabbles in devised work and performing. Her past playwriting credits include: "The Psychological Pitfalls of the Perpetually Single" (Raymond Laine Memorial One Acts Festival) and "I Am Ophelia" (Pinnacle Productions). She is joined in this creative venture by her director, Cecilia Staggers, a sophomore acting major at Point Park.
