The theatre industry thrives itself on being a place of creativity, discovery, and happiness. But we all know that there is an undeniable underbelly that must be unearthed and discussed. Being told "no" can be crushing. Now imagine hearing it multiple times in the span of four years during what is supposed to be such a key era of one's arts training. I'm Arden Adams, and I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia, but I am currently in my senior year at Point Park University. Here I have majored in Theatre Arts and minored in Musical Theatre. I mostly perform and direct, but I have also written, produced, stage managed, and done tech and dramaturgy.
